How We Profile Wines

We don't hand out arbitrary scores. Every wine profile is a piece of editorial research compiled from published sources, producer information, regional reference material and the wider critical literature — then written up so you can decide for yourself. Profiles cover body, acidity, tannin, aromas, food pairing, serving and where to buy.

How We Make Money

Transparency matters. Here's exactly how we fund this site:

• Sponsored & Premium Listings: Wineries can pay to be featured prominently on our site. Sponsored and premium placements are always clearly labeled.

Our profiles are never influenced by sponsors or advertisers. If a sponsored winery has a wine we don't rate highly, we say so — a sponsorship buys visibility, never a glowing description.
