Athiri

Hot, windy, mineral-rich volcanic soils of Santorini.

Known as: Athiri Aspro, Athiri Lefko

Athiri is one of the old native whites of the Greek islands, frequently blended with Assyrtiko on sun-scorched Santorini.

Softer and more perfumed than its stony partner, it brings peach, jasmine and a gentle saline note to the wines of the volcanic archipelago.

For the buyer, Athiri is the aromatic, approachable counterweight to Santorini's steely Assyrtiko — floral, fresh and quietly charming.
